tempe real estate: Lovebirds and Sunflowers
- 05/18/19 11:05 AM
These friends are visiting us now daily - for breakfast. They seem to love the sunflower seeds very much, the leaves - ah, maybe. We'll see if they will work on their greens, once the seeds are gone. Rosy-faced lovebirds are not native to Arizona, but seem to be doing quite well here.

tempe real estate: Glimpses into Interior Design 2019 - Colors, Materials, Finishes
- 05/04/19 05:07 PM
This past week I missed a great class on recent trends in kitchen, living room and bathroom design. The organizer sent me her notes - it was interesting to read that the greys are going away. I walked yesterday into the lobby of a Phoenix hotel and came across those summaries of colors, materials, furniture, accents and finishes. I felt grateful to the architects and interior designers who have created these presentations and have conveniently displayed them. For me, it was a quick way to catch up on some items I had not completed on my week's calendar, plus I thoroughly

tempe real estate: Orchid Show at Berridge Nurseries, Phoenix AZ
- 04/06/19 04:33 PM
What a treat I came across today, while shopping for my favorite geraniums at the Berridge Nurseries in Phoenix. The Orchid Show was such a display of beauty, color, elegance, joy. It seems there was some kind of competition as some of the orchids had a tag "First Place", "Second Place" ... All were so beautiful!

- 03/29/19 12:12 PM
Twice a month Real Estate Brokers who are active in the Tempe AZ market get together and tour homes that are for sale in this city. It is a good way to see within less than 2 hours homes in different subdivision, connect with other realtors, mortgage lenders, home inspectors, title and escrow companies and hear some of the latest updates for the industry. The group of realtors provides feedback to the listing agents of the homes we visit with regards to marketing of the home and increasing the visibility of it. The group also selects the Best Home on Tour for

tempe real estate: March Colors in Tempe AZ
- 03/23/19 01:46 PM
March is a lovely month in Tempe Arizona - the weather is warm, no need for heating, and no need for A/C to be turned on. Flowers and trees are starting to bloom. Yellow and orange seem to be the predominant colors for the month. The creosote bush has tiny yellow blooms, some of the acacia trees, too. Flowers and herbs in Red, white, magenta, purple are also in bloom and attracting bees and other pollinators. The cacti will start blooming next in April and will continue in May. It's a great time for Buyers to visit open houses, too, or to schedule their

- 03/08/19 04:23 PM
This is a lovely 4 bedroom , 2.5 bathrooms home in the park-like Brentwood-Cavalier neighborhood, a central Tempe AZ location, which is a biking distance to down town and Arizona State University, grocery shopping and many restaurants. The home has been meticulously updated for a year - every inch of the house has been touched by the artistic hand of the remodelers. When you approach the home, you are welcomed by the lovely green-barked palo verde trees, the metal sculpture and the majestic saguaros (each one of them probably weighs a ton, and costs $2000 if they were to be bought and

tempe real estate: Cloud Color Collection
- 02/18/19 10:43 AM
What a collection of colors those clouds produced in the East Sky in the evening hours. The first photo was taken at 5:38 pm. In about half an hour I noticed how dramatically the colors were changing, every minute. The second, third and fourth photos were taken minutes apart. There is something amazing always on this favorite walk of mine in Tempe AZ.

tempe real estate: Twilight Photos of a Coming Soon Listing in Tempe
- 02/09/19 05:59 PM
I love taking twilight photos - it's a short window of time during which those photos can be taken as the natural light changes so quickly at this time of the day. This is a coming soon listing - 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home which the Sellers are still metuculously renovating. The easy-to-maintain gas fireplace came very handy today, when degrees were in the low fifties. The quartz waterfall island is a focal point. The seating area can easily bring everybody closer to the chef in the kitchen. We expect the play pool to be finished next week - complete with pebble tech

What a lovely rainy day today turned out! Warm, drizzly and cloudy! Perfect for a brisk walk on a favorite trail. I think a lot of people must have felt that way - the paths at the Botanical Garden were full of visitors. I did my one mile and felt like doing another one.

tempe real estate: New Camera, New Photo
- 10/24/18 07:42 AM
Paul Henderson "Update your profile photo" challenge came on the right time - just as I was testing my new camera. I asked somebody who rarely takes photos, my husband, to test it - and it seemed to have worked out for the challenge. After a few snaps, my new October photo was created. The photo next to it, is my usual one, which I have been using on my marketing materials for the last couple of years. The second photo was taken by a professional photographer several years ago. Later on a friend showed me how to remove the background and the logo/

tempe real estate: The Market Determines the Price of Your Home
- 09/10/18 08:15 AM
When going on a listing appointment, I know the #1 question the sellers want to ask me: “What price do you think we can get for this house?” It sounds like a simple question—but there are so many factors that can affect pricing, it’s not an easy one to answer. Ultimately I tell sellers: the house is worth what the buyer wants to pay for it. The market determines value. As sellers, you can influence and control value to a certain extent—but if the housing market crashes next week, your house will probably be worth less. The

tempe real estate: Sunrise or Sunset in Arizona
- 09/09/18 11:34 AM
Sunrises and Sunsets are pretty dramatic in Arizona - it's a symphony of colors ranging from reds and oranges to various shades of blue-grey and green. I often see on Facebook my friends capturing an amazing sunrise or sunset and posting it. That's what those amazing colors and shapes make us do, pause our daily activity and admire the beauty. Jim Peterson - Winter Sunset on South Rim One of the recent exhibitions at the Hergerber Theatre Center was dedicated to the beauty of Sunrises and Sunsets. As I promised last month, I am sharing here on my blog some of the exhibits from the

Herberger Theater Center is a Downtown Phoenix attraction. Besides stage performances, it also has various programs and events to engage with artists, patrons and viewers of all ages. One such event is the monthly themed exhibition. Every month The Herberger Art Gallery publishes on its web-site a "Call to Arists" Prospectus, inviting local Arizona painters, sculptors, photographers to submit their artistic applications. It was quite exciting to find this beautiful luxury urban condominium by Tempe Town Lake and I was very happy to see that my Buyer clients are quite thrilled with it. It is within walking distance to the picturesque walking/biking trail along Tempe Town Lake, across the street from Tempe Center for the Arts and within a minute walk from Farmer's Art District and restaurants like Culinary Dropout, The District and more.
