I was recently looking through some old photographs and came across the one below of Rocky, my lab-mix, at the community pier at Riva Trace in Annapolis Maryland. Many neighborhoods around Annapolis Maryland have community piers, beaches, and boat ramps. A few also have community tennis courts, basketball courts and swimming pools. Riva Trace, located on Ginger Cove, has excellent amenities, especially the community pier (pictured below).

The Atlantic hurricane season is officially from 1 June to 30 November. In the past intense storms going by the names of hurricane Irene and Isabel have threatened and delivered devastating blows to Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and Maryland, as well as elsewhere in the region.
While out showing waterfront property yesterday, I stumbled upon the Annapolis Maryland hurricane high water marker located at Ellen Moyer Nature Park off Edgewood Road at the head of Back Creek.
