WHERE IS THE INVENTORY? That’s the most common question asked in our Fresno and Clovis real estate market today. Although current home buyers and investors know that local inventory is at historic lows, much of the public only remembers hearing of the surplus of inventory caused by the market meltdown that began in 2006.  For the record, local housing inventory peaked in the summer of 2007 where monthly averages were over 5,500 available properties.  Coupled with anemic sales, that market had over 15 months supply of inventory. But that was then and this is now.

This area is an up and coming area near downtown Fresno CA.  Currently the City of Fresno's Neighborhood Stabilization Program is rehabbing many of the properties in this area.  While there are still some homes in need of rehab, the neighborhood is sprinkled with newly painted and fixed homes that make it a pleasure to drive the area.  Recently a community garden was put in for the residents and two new Charter schools were approved in the Lowell area.

Yes, it is going to be 107 today here in Fresno CA and our kiddo's are on the bus with new clothes and backpacks on.  You can count on the clothes being shorts and not long pants today.  Central Unified is the first district in Fresno to start school.  The district has only 22 schools total which consist of 12 elementary, 3 middle, 2 high school, 1 K-8, 1 continuation, 1 adult and 1 community and district size is approximatetly 15,000.
