In a recent release, the National Association of Realtors (NAR), provided data that 2017 was the best year for the sales of existing homes nationally since 2006! The number in 2017 was 5.51M as compared to the 2006 number 0f 6.48M. The increase that was reported for 2017 was also 60,000 units higher as compared to 2016 existing home sales. The somewhat amazing part of this result was that the overall market conditions were hampered by lower inventory levels and a continuing concern of home affordability.
