Homes on the market in Chanhassen are currently receiving 100% of list price, indicating strong offers from buyers. Chanhassen home sale price are up an incredible 18.9% on average since March 2018!
Given the numbers we are seeing, with the added "fuel" of record low mortgage interest rates, we expect summer 2019 in Chanhassen to be a VERY strong sellers market, and an excellent time to buy as well!

According to NAR’s (National Association of Realtors) 2016 Profile of Home Buyers & Sellers, the share of recent homebuyers who were single at the time of purchase held steady at 24% last year.
The percentage of first-time buyers who were single females rose to 17% (up from 16%), as the share of single men dropped from 11% to 8%.
The primary stated reason for buying a home amongst singles was the desire to own a home of their own (38% for women and 37% for men).

With housing prices appreciating at levels that far exceed historical norms, some are fearful that the market is heading for another bubble. To alleviate that fear, we just need to look back at the reasons that caused the bubble ten years ago.
We should do a brief review of the recent past here.....Over the last decade, demand for housing was artificially propped up because mortgage lending standards were way too lenient. People that were not qualified to purchase were able to attain a mortgage anyway. Prices began to skyrocket. This increase in demand caused homebuilders in many markets to overbuild.
