With the recent outbreak on Lake Minnetonka near Big Island over the 4th of July, many people are wondering if it still safe to swim in the lake? After doing some research, the Hennepin County Health Department tests and analyzes the water weekly at 31 beaches (here is the interactive map) to make sure it is safe for swimming. The Centers for Disease Control has the following recommendations for staying healthy while enjoying the beach: -Wait 24 hours to swim after a heavy rainfall. -Shower after being at the beach. -Don't mouth or swallow water. -Wash your hands thoroughly before eating and after using the bathroom. -Don't swim if … (0 comments)

Minnetonka ranks as one of the Top 100 Best Places to live (as ranked by Money Magazine) and home values reflect that. Minnetonka homes values have seen historic appreciation over the last few years with a 15.5% increase in median home prices since 2016. Homes on the market in Minnetonka are currently receiving 99.7% of original list price, indicating strong offers from buyers. Minnetonka overall home prices are up 12.8% since just November of 2018!
Given the numbers we are seeing, with the added "fuel" of record low mortgage interest rates we expect summer 2019 in Minnetonka to be a VERY strong sellers market, and an excellent time to buy as well!

Minnetonka homes values have seen historic appreciation over the last few years with a 16.5% increase in median home prices since 2016. Homes on the market in Minnetonka are currently receiving 100% of original list price, indicating strong offers from buyers. We see no reason this trend is even accelerating, as Minnetonka overall home prices are up 8% since just November of 2018!
Given the numbers we are seeing, we expect summer 2019 in Minnetonka to be a VERY strong sellers market, and an excellent time to buy as well!
