real estate: Get to know Your Louisville Neighborhoods: Lexington Manor / Fairlawn - 02/09/16 09:41 PM
Homes for Sale in the Lexington Manor / Fairlawn Neighborhood Louisville, KY
Why Do People Live here?
Defining a neighborhood in St. Matthews can be tricky. There aren't big, grand signs out front or lavish "gated" entrances to these neighborhoods.  In fact, I would guess most residents don't even know the actual name of their little subdivision.  So it is with Lexington Manor and Fairlawn.  What is quite obvious, however, is there are few little rectangles of real estate in Louisville that command the type of attention and activity as the real estate rectangle bounded by Lexington Road to the north, Breckinridge Lane … (2 comments)

real estate: The Anatomy of Flipping a House in Louisville KY - 02/16/15 11:48 PM

Do you watch HGTV?  Have you heard of people "flipping" houses?  Have you been amazed by how easy and profitable it looks?  As a licensed Realtor in Louisville, Kentucky, I spend a little time with each of my home buyer clients and home seller clients explaining to them that, like the popular home portal sites Zillow & Trulia, popular TV shows like Fixer Upper and Flip this House are shiny objects to enjoy, but often only tell part of the story, and partly accurate.  I like the look & feel of these media, but getting the local on-the-ground view is … (1 comments)

In certain circumstances, this second level of negotiation doesn't exist, or is severely altered.  Most foreclosure sales or REO sales are sold "as is".  In Louisville, this phrase could mean several things, so it's important that if you are purchasing a home with an "as is" clause that … (2 comments)

real estate: Many Thanks Owed - 11/26/12 05:35 AM
p>

The holiday season is here!  This is an exciting time for many people because we officially ushered in the Holiday Season last week, and even moreso because Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  It has been for some time which is kind of funny since it's not a holiday where anybody dresses up like another person or superhero or caricature of some shamed celebrity.  It's not a holiday where anyone typically receives a gift either.
The reason it is my favorite holiday is that ever since I was a kid, it's the one holiday where the majority of my … (2 comments)
