Baltimore area home sales continue to increase in 2013! Home sales in the Baltimore region increased over 17% from last year as a sellers market continues to trend. These numbers are being seen in Columbia, Ellicott City and other areas in Baltimore, Howard and the surrounding counties.

Catonsville is #2 in Baltimore County - at recycling that is! 2012 set a record for recycling in Baltimore County with 52,000 tons of materials. When you compare that to 2009 which had 36,000 tons you can see the difference this program makes! That amount of recycling saved Baltimore county $3 Million dollars by not having that stuff go out as trash! The Baltimore County Executive announced this week that the recycling program really increased since the county changed over to single stream recycling in 2010. I showed a home today in Catonsville, MD. It has been on the market for almost a year. When it was brand new on the market I had a client who put in a very reasonable offer. The seller rejected the offer. Today it is priced substantially lower than what they would have netted with my clients offer. IT IS STILL A BUYERS MARKET IN CATONSVILLE. It is a glorious time of year in Catonsville, Maryland. Almost every garden is ablaze with the most vibrant colors. I am not a gardener, so I have no idea what they are called, but they are visually pleasing and some even smell good. My three year old in his car seat almost has whip-lash from his diligent search of the prettiest garden as we drive to and fro from school.
