Happy 40th Birthday Columbia1967-2007
Before the mid 1960s, farmland stretched as far as the eye could see. Today Money Magazine calls it one of the country's "Best Places to Live." Just ask any of the 100,000 people who live in Columbia, Maryland. For 40 days beginning June 6 and winding up with a community party on July 15 at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbians will come together to celebrate their community's history and success.
Become involved or just join in on the fun. Check out the 40 Days Calendar of activities.
The place. The people. The experience.

maryland: Sticker shock - 04/17/07 11:41 AM
While poking around on AR I came across this beautiful home in Atlanta listed by Jim & Ellen Crawford. All the bells and whistles and some....
So then I logged on to my local MLS and put in a search for the same price range in my area. Here is what you can get in Howard County, MD for the same money.
Ouch!

maryland: Is it really that bad? - 03/18/07 12:26 AM
So while enjoying the more palatable Florida temps and some R&R at the beach recently....
...I came across an interesting article in the Daytona Beach News Journal about a fellow Realtor who has to subsidise her income with a 2nd job due to the slump in the housing market.
We have had a somewhat slower few months than winters past, but thankfully not to the point when a 2nd job has become a necessity to eat. My heart goes out to you. Spring is almost here (although that white stuff on the ground is still hanging around) and the phones are ringing and … (4 comments)

maryland: Is it all in a name? - 02/25/07 10:56 AM
Columbia Md was voted the fourth most desirable city to reside in by Money Magazine for 2006. It's an interesting PUD that is almost 45 years young.
Here is a classic Columbia street that I drove by today. (Yes we have snow!!!)

maryland: Snow on Valentines day! - 02/13/07 11:18 PM
Could Mother nature be more cruel? How are all my flowers going to arrive? Is the flower shop even open?
Maryland is covered in snow and currently being showered by ice. All the schools and Federal buildings are closed.
But on a positive note, I am house bound so what a great day to call everyone on my database and not only check on their well-being, but wish them a "Happy Valentines Day". Let them know I care.....and by the way....if you know of any friends or family members who are in need of a Realtor once this snow melts.....you know the … (0 comments)

I am a Maryland transplant from many other places, most recently Florida, but since 1997 I have found my true home in the heart of this great State. Maryland has it all. Mountains 3 hours to the West, the Atlantic Ocean 3 hours to the East and head North and South for either Philadelphia and New York or Washington DC. It is the perfect location! The Metro Baltimore area offers a rich mix of history and modern amenities. City living, suburbia or "not a neighbor in sight" is available in this area. Excellent Schools, amazing communities and an incredible location is why many people choose to live in Central Maryland. I proudly help my clients buy and sell all types of homes in Howard County and beyond. Enjoying the entire process is my goal for my clients. Every transaction is different and everyone has different needs. I know the Metro Baltimore area well and I am current on the Real Estate Market activity- That's my job. As your "Buyers Agent" I will work diligently to find you the home that suits all your needs. I will update you immediately when a home matches your search criteria. I will educate you on the current market and help you craft the best offer possible. I will "hold your hand" throughout the entire process. As your "Listing Agent" I will coach and guide you from day one to put your best foot forward when you list your home. I will use aggressive and innovative marketing strategies to give your home the best exposure possible. I will use modern technology and multiple resources that other agents do not use. I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH PROOF OF ALL MY EFFORTS. I am a full time agent and I my number one goal is to give you exceptional service ALWAYS.
