According to This week’s Charlotte Business Journal - "Firethorne Country Club tops the list of private golf courses, with a slope rating of 147," making it the toughest private golf course in the Charlotte area. "The U.S.G.A. assigns slope ratings to show the relative difficulty of a course for the average player compared with the difficulty for an expert player."
