I'll be honest here. I am not a devout baseball fan. I almost never watch baseball on television unless it's a playoff game or the world series and the Philadelphia Phillies are playing. Even then, there is usually some sort of party associated to the event of me sitting in front of the television. I do love the game in person. I love the noise, the food, the smells and the excitement of the fans. This week I am lucky to be going to Citizens Bank Park twice to see the game! Twice!

Well, a picture is worth at least one thousand words and this photo says it all! I finally got to meet Sheldon Neal and he's even nicer in person, if that is at all possible. What an incredible treat to meet him and the others that I've gotten to know so well here at Active Rain. What a great day it was today, if you don't count having to be up, dressed, hair done and make-up on by 7:30 AM. I am not a morning person so this kind of rushing around tends to stress me out. We were car pooling to Philadelphia today to attend the RE/MAX Demand Success, Today and Tomorrow seminar hosted by none other than Dave Liniger! Dave did not disappoint and gave us tips on prospering in today's economy and in the market ahead. If you know me, you know that my family and I had a tough week. We adopted a puppy this week, our family's first baby puppy. We named her Maggie Moo and we had her exactly 17 hours when she became very sick. The veterinarian thinks that she consumed some kind of toxin while at the breeders home just before we picked her up. If you have a heart at all, you'll understand that Max and I fell instantly in love with this little puppy. A school bus with 48 chirpy women and young adults left RE/MAX Preferred's parking lot at 7:20 this morning raring to go for a great day down in Philadelphia. We raised almost $2000 for Breast Cancer Research, we got exercise, and we talked and laughed and had a wonderful time! One of my heroes is Abraham Lincoln. I am putting a team together to walk in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Philadelphia this Mother's Day. I have rented a bus that will seat 24 people and I'm hoping I can fill it with like minded people for an inspirational day of hope down in Philadelphia.
