This is a remarkable accomplishment, given that there are 21 counties in the state. The Monmouth County Vocational School District has redefined public school education for the twenty-first century. Old perceptions are that the top schools are only available to the privileged who can pay tuition at the best schools or who live in wealthy districts, but applications to these academies are open to all students in the county.
