One question that arises now and then from potential sellers is about the amount of commission specified in the listing agreement. One question I get frequently in the winter is typified by this email from a seller (this person wasn't yet my client at the time, but subsequently retained me after FSBOing didn't work for her): It is expected to be another weekend of heavy rain and wind and very cold weather. Friends have suggested an open house, but what agent would show property in this weather? As for buyers, I don't think anyone would go to an open house in the rain. What do you think?
