Land numbers for Haywood County NC are anorexic ~ and waiting to post them won’t make them any prettier. Haywood County includes Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Clyde, Canton and Lake Junaluska. The chart below shows numbers for LAND sales in 2009, compared to the previous 5 years. Obviously our transactions are way down, along with dollar volume.

There has been a drastic drop in land and farm sales in 2009, not unlike many areas of the country. This morning (09/27) there are 1,894 active land listings in Haywood County.
