horsealicious: Chasing Rainbows in Maggie Valley. - 05/29/09 04:30 AM
Florida-like weather has hit Haywood County as we have 'enjoyed' almost daily thunderstorms recently, usually in the late afternoon or evening. Maggie Valley and Waynesville both needed the rain. The video show below was 'shot' right after a little rain storm, so many of the flowers were beautifully wet (you know I'm thinking succulent), and the rainbow was a welcome sight. Now, if I could just find that pot of gold.

horsealicious: Do I Want to Work with Bottom Feeders, Or Wrap My Legs Around Something Powerful That Brings Me Satisfaction? - 05/19/09 08:50 AM
During the 'down time' during which there are an abundance of foreclosures and short sales in my area, I have chosen to immerse myself in projects to build my business, my internet presence, and perpetuate my plans for life in an Airstream, rather than surround myself in what, to me, are negative aspects of real estate. Do not mistake my path as one I am taking because I am not in immediate need of deposits into my bank account. Mine That Bird, the winner of the 2009 Kentucky Derby, has nothing to do with real estate except that he can cover it very quickly. However, yesterday 'he' did something that sent me bucking and kicking around my cabin at a very ridiculous time of the morning.
Short history: My new horse site, Horsealicious, went ‘live’ recently, and this is my first week of posting on the site. Twitter is the social media site where I spend a good bit of time, learning, learning, learning, and meeting many brilliant people. Many of my Twitter followers are horse people, as I have … (13 comments)

horsealicious: Here Cowboy, Cowboy! We Have Cowgirls and Horses in Maggie Valley! - 01/19/09 12:05 AM

Yesterday's snowfall in Maggie Valley didn’t seem to concern this nice bay with a snip and a heavy winter coat. Maggie Valley and all of Haywood County afford 'horse people' mild seasons, an equestrian lifestyle, and great trail riding and pasture land (but not nearly enough Cowboys [yet] to my way of thinking)! Cowboy Up!
Image by susieblackmon via Flickr Would you like to help me sign Chris Cox up for a Haywood/Buncombe County Horsemanship Clinic? He’s pretty booked for 2009 but there’s always 2010, and I know who to call!
Until I can get Chris to town for a … (9 comments)
