ingles: Maggie Valley, Waynesville and Lake Junaluska Were Beautiful After Last Week's Big Snow Storm. - 12/25/09 11:50 PM
Following our big snow storm and power outage last week, I decided to head, Flip in hand, to KMart in Waynesville for a camping stove, but I was too late. Not a camper stove on the shelves, so off I went to Ingles Grocery Store. Ingles was so jammed with customers that I didn’t even go inside; instead I drove through Lake Junaluska and then drove by Tube World in Maggie Valley. The video below gives a view of Tube World, as well as the snow in Maggie Valley, Waynesville and Lake Junaluska. The Cataloochee Ski Area has been a popular … (7 comments)

ingles: 'Buy Haywood' Now Easy at Ingles Grocery Stores in Haywood County. - 08/14/09 06:52 AM
A few days ago I was in Ingles (the Waynesville store off of Russ Avenue on Barber) to buy my peanut butter and coffee beans for the week, and was pleasantly surprised to see a display of local vegetables displayed prominently in the fruits and vegetables department. Very nice to see the produce grown by our local farmers promoted and featured where so many of us buy our groceries, and I hope it is not just a fad.
Maggie Valley only has convenience stores, but the Ingles Markets are very close to Maggie Valley... not to mention, the Ingles off of … (5 comments)

ingles: Dusk Creeps Over Waynesville As I Search for Honey Crisps. - 11/02/08 09:44 PM
It was almost dark last night when I went to the grocery store in Waynesville… forgot about the Daylight Savings Time issue. The shimmers of sunlight on the darkening landscape were too intriguing to resist capturing with my trusty Sony DSC-F828 as I stepped out of my vehicle to dash through Ingles grocery store, searching for honey crisp apples and cat food. How did I know they had Holiday peppermint ice cream already?
Speaking of shopping, I stumbled upon a GREAT coupon website you might like! Click below!

ingles: Waynesville Rotary Club Celebrates Earth Day. - 04/22/08 10:47 PM
It was my pleasure yesterday, as a proud member of the Waynesville Rotary Club, to spend several hours with members of our Club yesterday morning (Earth Day), giving out 1,000 free ‘green’ reusable bags at Ingles Grocery Store in Waynesville, NC to replace the plastic bags that end up littering our streets, communities, highways and waterways. Not only did many Haywood County residents come to Ingles on Earth Day, some just to pick up their free ‘green’ reusable bags from us, we were very pleased to be treated to the attention of the local media, including The Mountaineer, Asheville’s Citizen-Times, and … (2 comments)

ingles: Guess which Java Giant is coming to Waynesville, NC! - 03/07/08 10:36 PM
Last week I walked into Ingles Grocery Store in Waynesville (off of Russ Avenue) and was shocked to find a big sign, and a designated “future Starbucks area,” loudly announcing the imminent arrival of Starbucks. For those who think Waynesville, NC is not going to be a progressive town with a delicious small-town flavor… here’s your sign!
