McKinney is located in Collin County and is one of the cities in Dallas Metro that has been experiencing a tremendous growth.  Median home price jumped from $305, in November 2016 to a whopping $317,500 in November 2017, and number of homes sold increased from 239 in November 2016 to 276 in November 2017.  There is small percentage of homes $150k and under in McKinney but most are in the price range between $301k - $500k. The City of Allen is located in Collin County, which is north of Dallas.  The city, just like many other cities in Collin County, has shown growth in many areas including the housing market.  Median home price in Allen in November 2016 was $305,000 and increased to $320,000 in November 2017.  There is no home under $150k.  45% of the homes are in the price range of $301k - $500k compared to 34.9% in November 2016, and average days on the market is 56 days compared to 45 days last year.

market statistic: Collin County - October 2017 Housing Market Statistic - 11/19/17 08:48 AM

Median sales price in Collin County in October 2017 increased almost 6% compared to October 2016.  The market is showing a little bit of a slow down with days on the market increased to 47 days from 38 days and an increased in inventory and supply as well.  YTD Percent of original list price received dropped 0.6%.  Overall it is still a very healthy seller’s market with YTD median sales price increased of 8.4%.

market statistic: Tarrant County Housing Market Statistic - September 2017 - 10/26/17 10:35 AM

 
Tarrant County continues to be a hot seller’s market.  Sales price continues to climb with median sales price of about $215,000 in September 2017 compared to $195,000 in September 2016.  This is about a 10% increase.  Year to date median sales price increased 12.2% and days on the market is about a month. Closed sales in September 2017 dropped about 2% compared to September 2016 but year to date closed sales increased more than 5%.

Tarrant County continues to be a hot seller’s market.  Sales price continues to climb with median sales price increased almost 11% in August 2017 and year to date median sales price increased more than 12%.  Days on the market is about one month. Closed sales in August 2017 dipped a little by 0.5% compared to August 2016 but year to date closed sales increased almost 2%.
