Sometimes it’s a gut feeling from simply seeing a photo sent over by Iphone.

This September marks the 10th anniversary of 9/11, a day that is burned in our memory. The day started out as a beautiful and sunny September day, and soon became a nightmare to all Americans fraught with sadness. I came across a very cool site I would like to share with you, and something I will share with potential clients. It’s called WalkScore.com, you type in any address and it tells you how “walkable” an address is to a restaurants, parks, transportation etc etc. Often, I have buyers call me, especially folks wanting to move to the Croton on Hudson area, asking if a home is in walking distance to town and school. Croton on Hudson, NY: Croton Landing, a beautiful riverfront park, has been selected as the memorial site to honor four local residents who died on 9/11, emergency responders, and the many impacted by this day. This year I never got around to planning or planting a vegetable garden simply because I have been so damn busy and my husband simply wasn't feelin' it. Luckily for me, due to the lack of rain and mandatory limited use of water, I didn't have the disappointment and frustration others have experienced with their vegetable gardens. I am going to come clean and mention the handful of times I did water (with guilt!) my butterfly garden and the recently planted shrubs I have in front of my home. One of the ways for me to "keep it together" and live a more balanced life is running in the woods. Between the everyday nuances of having a child, a home, and business as a Realtor, running in nature helps me put it all in perspective. Living in Croton on Hudson for the past 9 years has given me the opportunity to go off road, whether running or biking.
