The anchor development of Generation Park is the 173-acre FMC Technologies corporate campus.  They are progressing at a rapid pace.  Some of their employees have started moving to the new campus.  A new business addition to Generation Park is Stolt-Nielsen Limited.  Add to that list San Jacinto College, with 57 acres for a new campus to accommodate 8000 students.  Lone Star College System will be present with a Process Technology Center on 8.3 acres.  Courtyard Marriott will be front and center too!

Lone Star College, the largest institution of higher education in the Houston area, just announced their partnership with University of Phoenix.  This will allow students from Lone Star College to be able to apply their credits toward a bachelor's degree from University of Phoenix.  The college level credits awarded by Lone Star College, including vocational degrees, with a "C" or higher grade level, will transfer seamlessly to University of Phoenix credit hours.  PLUS - Lone Star College students who are within 12 months of completing their degree can pre-apply to University of Phoenix & then be able to access the university's online … (3 comments)

Groundbreaking is set to begin in January 2010 for the Atascocita Satellite Campus of Lone Star College in Lakeshore.  The campus will be located between Lakeshore Elementary and the Lakeshore subdivision, on W. Lake Houston Parkway. 
The map below shows the current campus locations for Lone Star College.  And with the addition of the Atascocita Satellite Campus, we will have the opportunity for higher education right in Atascocita!
