Michael and I have love going to concerts and music festivals, and even though it’s been awhile since we’ve seen a show in Boise, the Knitting Factory is one of Boise’s best concert venues. So, knowing this, we both felt we had to go listen to a new band we had never seen before, as well as add it to the list of Boyle’s Boise: 52 Things to Do and See. In addition to researching some of today’s newest bands and artists, we also did a little background research on the Knitting Factory. So, here’s what we found out about (7 comments)

Wahooz Family Fun Zone: When Jonathan was younger, we used to go to Roaring Springs (which is now a section of Wahooz Family Fun Zone) and spend all day riding down the water slides, swimming in the wave pool and taking a float down the lazy river. Since then, they have expanded, re-branded to Wahooz Family Fun Zone and taken the idea of fun to a whole new level. From their attractions to their employees, Wahooz integrates the simple idea that they are truly serious about fun into their daily thinking and operations. Floating the Boise River is a very popular activity in the city and it's a great way to enjoy the Green Belt,as well. Plus, it is a perfect way for the kids to use up some energy and cool down when the sun gets too hot in the summer, as it usually does. The Boise Depot holds a special place in my heart because that is where Michael proposed to me almost 25 years ago. It is a beautiful train depot that features an unbelievable, 360-degree view of downtown Boise with the mountains in the distance. The building grounds also include the Platt Gardens, a lovely park with pathways, a gazebo and a koi pond that makes this a popular site for weddings, photographs and public gatherings.
The Boise Depot is a beautiful, historic Spanish-style structure operated by the Boise Parks & Recreation Department as a public meeting space and historic site. (0 comments)

First of all, going here was an absolute blast. We both really enjoyed the tour as well as the free samples! We did a bit of research beforehand to maximize our experience, and here is a little information on what we learnedin the process:
Michael and I didn’t know this until we visited one weekend, but the Idaho State Penitentiary in Boise has been deemed as the most haunted prison in all of the state! It has been investigated by ghost hunters, historians and paranormal activity experts who all confirm the strange energies in various places throughout the prison are a common occurrence. I HATE being scared, especially by ghosts, but since this is such a popular Boise activity and something that I have never experienced before, Michael and I decided to do it. And of course it scared me half to (0 comments)
