I was going over my archives this morning and came across the Mission Statement we started with, back in 2012 when we first decided to work together here at Long Realty. It's been a little bit tweaked over the years, but the jist remains the same as we formed "The Golden Girls of Long Realty"
Here's our original statement:

I read an interesting article in REALTOR MAG this morning.  It wasn’t quite what I was thinking when I read the title, “Answer the Call”
At first thought, I imagined it was another reminder to answer our phones, because lack of communication/availability can be a big turn off for our clients.
But, no….this article was about engagement.
I found it amazing that according to their statistics, one in every 220 adults is a REALTOR.  WOW!  That’s a lot of competition, and I went back to thinking the article was going to be about communication again.

A Lesson in Perception
I've been mulling over a small incident of months past and decided today to write about it.
I guess I'd call it a lesson in PERCEPTION.

I belong to the Marana Chamber, and several months into my membership, decided to start attending the Monthly Networking Breakfast to meet other professionals in my area.  The breakfast starts at 7 and the networking starts at 7:45 and continues to 9.  Folks show up at all times.  After the initial business and sponsorship talks, each Chamber member stands for a 30 second introduction about themselves and their business or non-profit.
