customer service: GoDaddy Kudos - 10/14/22 11:37 AM
I'm not a terrific tekkie, I admit it.  However, I do try to use the many mediums available, with a select focus.  I also was happy to be on several tech teams with my past employer as one who was actively utilizing the products offered.
But now, as Designated Broker and 1/2 owner of Tucson-area's Golden Girls with SW DesertHomes, I find I'm tackling a bit more as I take on new licensees.
So, hence, my call to customer service.  Last fall I'd "parked" a few domain emails just in case we used them. They are different that what I am utilizing at … (4 comments)

customer service: I Love Great Customer Service - 01/23/16 10:40 PM
I Love Great Customer Service
I love to pass on stories when I find people behaving extraordinarily... something beyond what you would expect from another.
This week, I had a full day of inspections, two listings, 45 miles apart.
As I rushed from one to the next, I knew that quick food choices were in short supply in the neighborhood I was heading to.  So, I pulled in along I-10 at the Wilmot exit to A & W.  It's a nostalgia thing....every once in a while a "teen burger" sounds good.
At 12:10...the drive through had four cars in it already.  I placed my … (6 comments)

customer service: “Customer Service is No Longer Enough” - 01/29/14 05:00 AM
“Customer Service is No Longer Enough”
A few weeks back I wrote a blog posting on the value of customer service Customer Service - An Expectation, not an Option.  My thought was that our job IS service, and what separates us from our competition, our peers, and in life.  My thoughts had been inspired by an article on Forbes.com.
Since then, I happened across a fascinating article written by Enrique (Henry) Saldana who also happens to be in the real estate service, and his core business philosophies.
Consider this:
“Customer service is no longer enough.”
Henry outlined the current client that … (2 comments)

Customer Service - An Expectation, not an Option
I came across a fascinating article from Forbes.com this past week about Customer Service.  It's headline addressed the fact that customer service isn't OPTIONAL.
The article went on to say that customer service is in many ways, why we have a job. Our job IS service.
I was thinking about it in regards to Real Estate.  We are all working with the same product in varying degrees of quality.  The fixer upper, the first time homeowner's abode, the luxury home, the vacation home, the investment rental, etc. etc.
What is the difference between … (23 comments)

A T & T Must Work For the Government; Or, The Case of the $115.00 Screw
Cell contracts.  If you own a smart phone, or a cell phone - most likely you are familiar with the best of them.  Generally a 2 year contract - big deductibles on the "insurance" or "Warranty Service" that doesn't cover things like dropping them in water or in this case, missing a screw.
Said screw is about the size of the one you find in eyeglasses.  Those of you that wear them - you know, when the screw falls out and you can't wear your … (13 comments)

customer service: You Better Shop Around!! - 12/13/10 02:43 AM
You Better Shop Around!!
I just got off the phone with a customer service computer.  Yep, computer.  One of those automated "listening" voices that have you choose from a menu and speak clearly into the phone.  She had a bright, perky, oh-so-helpful voice.
But talking to a computer never surpasses a real-live customer service rep.  With a live person, you can tell your story, your circumstances, create a bond.
This is the third time that my mortgage statement did not come in the mail this year.  When you call to make a payment over the phone, they have a "transaction" charge.  … (5 comments)
