I was driving down the freeway yesterday when this semi cruised by, with what I thought was a clever, clever catch phrase.
It was Old Dominion Freight Line, and their message was, "Helping the world keep its promises."
They aren't promising that they are the fastest freight line, or the best freight line, or the most prolific freight line. No...they are promising results... an end product.
It made me think about a very clever Las Vegas ad I'd just seen on TV. The girlfriend/wife comes home and says to her partner, "Oh...I've got so many pictures!" The implied message is, by the look on … (3 comments)

I went on the Tucson Area Realtor Tour a few weeks back, and one of the agents presenting a listing had a very cute monologue, and one so many of us can identify with.
She said something along the lines of, "Do you know when you have one of those clients wanting to list their home and ask what needs to be done, and you say...well it could use fresh paint...and they paint it?
You mention the carpet is really worn, and they replace it?
You notice the backyard needs some landscaping help and they re-do it?

I read an interesting article in REALTOR MAG this morning. It wasn’t quite what I was thinking when I read the title, “Answer the Call”
At first thought, I imagined it was another reminder to answer our phones, because lack of communication/availability can be a big turn off for our clients.
But, no….this article was about engagement.
I found it amazing that according to their statistics, one in every 220 adults is a REALTOR. WOW! That’s a lot of competition, and I went back to thinking the article was going to be about communication again.
