Just after 4:30 a.m. this morning the cement truck pulled up to our address for a patio renovation.  Along with the truck, about 12-15 workers showed up as well.
What struck me was the laughter, and the singing:  Someone would sing a phrase and suddenly 3 or 4 more would jump in on the next line.
They were working their hearts out - but enjoying the cameraderie and team work of a job well done.
(Caught him mid-laugh)
I kept thinking of Snow White and "Whistle while you Work" ..."It won't take long when there's a song to help you set the pace"

To me, the only way to negate all of the fake stories, alarmism, pessimism, and just plain awful news events out there and great each day with a fresh start is to focus on the things that give me hope, or that bring me joy.
 
About thirty years ago, a friend of mine named James shared some words I recently came across in a box of mementos.
They especially resonated with me and I wanted to share them with you.

Making Every Day Better As It Goes
 
This has been a lovely week, and for some reason, with the start of my "leaping son" blog I refreshed on Facebook, to this sunny Saturday...a feeling of well-being and joy has been uppermost.  
It is interesting, that "Law of Attraction" thing.   Long have I learned, and ever do I practice, to surround myself with positive, productive people.  I do my best to be one myself.  I think it works.  I know it works better than being a "sad sack".
