Analyzing the June residential sales statistics for the *Greater Tucson, AZ area for June 2014, here is some information you might find useful if you are looking to sell your home, or hoping to buy a home in the near future.
Total Sales Volume is up since May to June, a 10.42% increase. In that same time period, the average sales price increased almost 3.5% as well.
Homes are being listed slightly higher this June over May as well, with a 3.78% rise in ACTIVE list prices.

There are only two types of venomous lizards in the world, and one of them, the Gila Monster, is located right here in SWDesert, in and around Tucson, AZ.
If you are unlucky enough to be bitten, know that instead of injecting venom through hollow fangs like a rattlesnake, Gila Monsters have large, grooved teeth in their lower jaw and when they bite, the powerful jaws chew the venom in. Scary to say I was putting a broom away standing only a foot from this young guy. My first thought was, "Do I call 9-11"?
Well, no, someone said call the fire department.
So, I looked online and since 2009, our Northwest Fire Department does not answer snake calls.
If I was in Rural Metro district, they would come out. No such luck.

John has some great, great points in his blog. However, I know that in my Dove Mountain Long Realty Office, floor duty is mandatory for all but 3 agents, and even those fill in on occassion. Walking into an office doesn't mean you won't find a quality agent -- but be sure to ask pertinent questions about expertise and experience! And I have to say, just because an agent has 20 signs out in a neighborhood, doesn't mean you'll be working for them, or that their work is sheer perfection. I was down on 12th Street and Bilby yesterday, doing a BPO for a company I occasionally provide them for, and was passing El Meredero on my way to my next appointment. (By the way, if you check out the link, please give them a "like" and help them reach 500!)
It was only 11:30 but the cars were rolling in and the parking lot had a good dozen vehicles sitting out front. Not one to lose an opportunity to enjoy great Mexican food, I took that as a sign!

I've been taking a great class on Mondays for the past five weeks, absolutely dollar free.
However, if you've heard the phrase, and I bet you have, "Time is Money", well then you have a different scenario. "Time is Money" is a phrase we all have heard. And sometimes we need to put in the time, to make the money.

I love the flower blooms brightening up every corner of the town.
I've been trying to figure out how to possibly get the lovely purple ones in the highway medians...ha! There always seems to be traffic.
Lantana is an easy desert-lover. They come in yellow, purple, gold, a reddish gold...and then they often start to cross-pollinate as well, making for even more variety.
Even desert grass is lovely.
I always thought roses were delicate until moving to the SW Desert. These hardy local varieties thrive even in the heat!

It's been an interesting week. Sunday, old clients of mine were in town visiting family and I joined them for a rather impromptu home search. Looked at 4 properties and they really decided one would be a great place to fix up. I called the agent, left a message, and met them the next day to sign and fill out a nice offer.
