What an incredible month of weather we had in February 2011 in Tampa, FL with temperatures above average 21 of 28 days, and none of the cold days we had experienced for much of the winter.
As I previously wrote, December 2010 was the coldest December in Tampa, FL history, and January 2011 was also abnormally cold.
February 2011 was an incredible month to enjoy the pool and the absolutely beautiful beaches in the Tampa area.

tampa: January 2011 - Weather And Temps - Tampa, FL - 02/02/11 06:17 AM
Back on January 1, 2011 I wrote about how December 2010 was the coldest December in Tampa, FL history.
Thankfully, January 2011 was not quite as bad, though the temperatures were mixed with 16 days, being colder than normal, with the rest either at or above the normal temperature of around 70.
February is already starting off right with February 1, 2011 hitting a high of 80 degrees and today reaching 78.
I'm sure glad I am here in Tampa, FL right now rather than where I used to live in Westport, CT where they are having another huge snowstorm.

This past weekend there was the annual Pirate Invasion here in Tampa, FL known as Gasparilla, where cheap beads are thrown to the crowds and the Mayor of Tampa surrenders to the pirates.
Gasparilla this year saw approximately a half-million revelers, 350 arrests, and lots of fun for all.
Actor Jim Belushi led this years Gasparilla Parade.

The Pasco County housing statistics for December 2010 are in, and the news is mixed. For those not aware, Pasco County is north of Hillsborough County, where the city of Tampa is located, and also north of Pinellas County, which is where St. Petersburg and world famous Clearwater Beach is located. Pasco County runs from the Gulf of Mexico to the west and to the City of Zephyrhills and Dade City to the east.
