beautiful california: "Good Morning" from Eagle Lake in California ... - 09/23/11 04:34 AM

I had the chance to visit Eagle Lake in Northern California for the first time on my way to the Redwoods.
Eagle Lake is located about 17 miles north of the very quaint town of Susanville, and Susanville is around 150 miles north of Reno Nevada.
Believe it or not ... Eagle Lake is the second LARGEST Freshwater lake in the State of California, and why do they call it a freshwater lake? Because there are quite a few lakes in California that are (Saltwater).

beautiful california: Carlsbad California - "Good Night" and which way should we go? - 04/03/11 06:39 PM

Carlsbad California by Robert Swetz 2011

I captured the sun going down in Calsbad California north of San Diego and these poor birds didn't know which direction to go, one was headed south and the other one north. Then they would turn around and head the other direction.
Which ever way they were going I was able to capture the pinks and blues from the sun going down, and the birds and their shadows, quite a few lens prisms going on also.

beautiful california: Native American "Spirits" of the Redwoods, "Orbs" or just "Prisms" from the Lens? - 10/15/10 11:52 PM

Native American "Spirits" of the Redwoods, "Orbs" or just "Prisms" from the Lens?

This "Redwood Tree" in this photograph is around 3000 years old and there could have been many "Spirits" dancing or walking around this old tree after all these years.
I took hundreds of photographs of the Redwoods in Northern California looking towards the sun and this is one of the only ones that has this strange looking effect.

beautiful california: Beautiful Buildings & Homes dating back to the late 1800s in Ferndale California - 09/11/10 06:04 PM
Beautiful Buildings & Homes dating back to the 1800s in Ferndale California
This video was taken in beautiful Ferndale California, minutes from the Pacific ocean and Eureka. With a very low population Fernadale has become more noticed because of movies like "The Majestic" with Jim Carey and several others.
When you drive through Ferndale it's like going back in time, the town has buildings & homes that date back to the late 1800s and the surrounding areas are huge farms, with horses, cows, produce and more.

"Good Morning" from beautiful California ...

The beauty of California has always amazed me ever since I set foot in the state, and this beautiful setting is just an example of what I am talking about.
On our drive over the mountain to "Lake Tahoe" before our turn to go up the hill side I came across this setting and had to turn around because I could not let it go without snapping a photograph.
 What do you think!
Was it worth turning around for?
I thought this beautiful scene would be a great way to show God's … (21 comments)
