Alaska Bob/Vegas Bob had a very successful day fishing Halibut in Homer Alaska July 12th 2015.
Vegas Bob entered a contest trying to win a $25,000 dollar prize by catching the largest halibut in the year 2015.
Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob aka Alaska Bob did catch a 140 pound halibut, but did not beat the recent holding record so far of 247 pounds caught by a lady 2 weeks ago in Homer.

What Vegas Bob likes to do on his weekends ...
Nu Nu, Sherry and I went to a wedding back in Northern Minnesota between June 12-17 of 2010. It was so much fun spending time with my parents, brother, sister and all my other relatives. The only relatives that Vegas Bob has in Las Vegas Nevada are from Nu Nu's side and they are all "Burmese" (wonderful people)!

I spent Sunday at Lake Mead Nevada catching some rays, hiking around and snapping some photos of boats cruising around the lake.
It was a beautiful day with a dry temperature of around 90 degrees.
By looking at these photos does it look like these people are having some fun?
What kind of fun would it be with out some personal water craft?
These girls are really moving fast in the photo below!

What is the closest Beach to Las Vegas Nevada?
If you live in Las Vegas Nevada this question will be easy for you, but it may be difficult for outsiders and people not familiar with the area.
By looking at this photograph (above) where would you think it was taken?
These photographs were taken at Lake Mead only 30 minutes from Las Vegas Sunday 6-7-2009 and it was a cooler day around 90 degrees and there were thousands of people and families playing.

Connected to the Silverton Casino in Las Vegas Nevada is (Outdoor World) Bass Pro Shops with over 160,000 feet of Boats and all your Fishing & Hunting needs.
In the fishing area are hundreds of fish from around the world hanging fro the ceiling.
There hundreds of different styles of fishing poles, lures and everything you would ever need for fishing.
There are also Boats & ATV vehicles.

boating: Boating on Lake Mead - Nevada

Lake Mead has been warming up now for the last three weeks. It's always warmer at Lake Mead than Las Vegas.
These photographs were taken 3-4 weeks ago when we went boating around the Lake. We rented a boat and went over by the Hoover Dam and some other places around Lake Mead.
These wet bikes above are for rent and just waiting to be driven!
If you have close friends in Las Vegas you can go for a cruise on one of their boats.

boating: Mother taking her sons out for a little boat ride!

Some times it's the little things in life we take for granted, like a boat ride with your mother.
These little boys are about to go for a little stroll around the lake with their mother. And by the look on the boys and mothers face, their already having a good time.
If you look real close at the boys face you can see some large white looking marks. This is a chalk substance that comes from a tree that Burmese rub on their faces to prevent sunburn.
