For anyone that really knows Alaska Bob aka Robert 'Vegas Bob' Swetz, they know he never stays in one place very long.
In fact Robert Swetz has been traveling around the world since he was only 14 years of age, and still continues to travel.
Alaska Bob aka Vegas Bob has several places he hangs his hat, like Crosby Minnesota, Plymouth Minnesota, Las Vegas Nevada, Morgan Hill California, Portland Oregon and Anchorage Alaska just to name a few.
Vegas Bob really doesn't like to call anywhere home, and can pack up his belongings in one day that will actually fit in a storage unit … (17 comments)

As Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob strolled to his parked car in Thousand Trails RV campground in Morgan Hill California at 12:00 midnight July 31st, he noticed a HUGE cloud of smoke 10 feet from his car.
So VB quickly walked over to his car and there was an old large tree trunk about 6 feet long on the ground, with hot amber about 2 feet long inside the tree.
VB quickly jumped into his car and drove only minutes to the guard gate to alert them.

New horizons continue to take place for Alaska Bob & Vegas Bob, and a quick heads-up ... both AB & VB are the same person = Robert Swetz
Vegas Bob continues to work on a huge construction project in San Jose California, and this project will last till Nov-Dec of 2015.
Vegas Bob still owns a place in Las Vegas and with family there and a license to sell Real Estate, he will be keeping it for a while.

Only 1 day until Vegas Bob leaves for Alaska ;o)
Well the count down is finally over and Vegas Bob will finally be flying on a jet plane tomorrow afternoon.
I wanted to get off this last post before I left because I don't know how many days it will be before I can launch off another post.
Please keep in mind that Vegas Bob did bring his cameras and laptop, so when he does get some free time he will be sharing some fresh photos of The Last Frontier ;o)

You will never guess where "Vegas Bob" is headed in the next several hours?
VB was rolling through his groups at ActiveRain and featuring his favorite posts. Low and behold, VB came across this great post of a FREE musical event posted by Michelle on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
VB has been staying in Morgan Hill for the last several months which is only approx 30 miles from Santa Cruz.
So that being said, VB will be at the Eddie Money concert tonight followed by the up and coming FREE concert events over the weekends in Santa Cruz ;o)

Vegas Bob picked up a new book he has been reading and it has been doing wonders in the realm of happiness.
VB is only half way through the book, but a great moving book for him at this moment in life.
After working 6 days per week, VB and the other workers finally get a 2 day weekend.
VB is going to finish his book and hang out at the pacific coast around Santa Cruz California for 2 days ;o)

For over the last 20 years of Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz's life there have been many choices, changes, etc, that have taken place.
Vegas Bob believes that most of these choices, changes, etc, happened for a reason and have created his fate.
Vegas Bob discovered 20 years ago not to push but allow choices and change to take place naturally, let them fall into place.
During Vegas Bob's younger years, he use to push and try to hurry choices and change, only to find out that many of them were not meant to be.

Life in the Fast Lane
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz has been working and driving in the Fast Lane in the Bay Area in Northern California for the last couple months.
Working long hours is taking a toll on Vegas Bob and he is looking forward to taking some time off when this project is complete in San Jose.
The project should finish up around November/December of 2015.
Vegas Bob is seriously thinking about taking one year off from construction and living with his wife in Alaska.

california: Dead Baby Gray Whale washed on the shore of La Selva Beach California

As I was strolling down La Selva Beach last Sunday as I often do, I saw something that looked like a huge rock washed ashore.
As I came closer to what looked like a rock, I saw many seagulls flying around and picking at the object.
And as I got very close I saw what looked like some type of flesh with a very strange odor.
There were two ladies taking photographs and so I asked them what it was.
One of the ladies said that it was a dead baby gray whale that had been washed ashore.

Here are some great photographs that Robert Swetz took in 2014 while he was on vacation in Alaska.
Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob has traveled all over the United States, from ... Wyoming, Colorado, Oregon, Montana, California, Utah, etc, and has never viewed a more beautiful place like Alaska.
Robert Swetz's first visit to Alaska was back in 2001, followed by approx 90 days in a 4 month period in 2014.
Robert Swetz aka Alaska Bob will be traveling once again in the middle of July 2015. Alaska Bob will be visiting with his new wife and fishing Halibut, and taking new photographs.
