Robert Alaska Bob Swetz aka Vegas Bob and family are spending several days taking in the fresh air and hiking around the Red Cabins at Hatchers Pass, only 15 minutes north of Wasilla.
Vegas Bob first found out about the Red Cabins in July of 2014 and just can't get enough of the beauty and fresh air.

Alaska Bob would love to stay overnight at the Red Cabins at Hatchers Pass, but their usually booked months in advance so it's very difficult.

Lucile Lake Wasilla Alaska by Robert Swetz 2014
Alaska Bob aka Robert Swetz/Vegas Bob will be traveling from Homer Alaska to Lucile Lake in Wasilla today July 15th 2015.
Vegas Bob will be stopping in Anchorage to pick up a few things and then drive to Wasilla which is a 45 minute drive from Anchorage.
Alaska Bob and family will be staying at a hotel on Lucile Lake for several days, relaxing and maybe even do a little fishing off the dock.
Other parts of the day on Alaska Bob's visit to the Wasilla area, he will be hiking around the beautiful area of Hatchers Pass … (23 comments)

Robert Swetz remembers booking his flight to Alaska 2 months ago, and thought it would take forever until he would be able to enjoy his vacation.

Colorful Lake Reflections from Alaska
The excitement continues to push Robert Vegas Bob Swetz into posting blogs with photographs from Alaska.
Within the next ten days, Alaska Bob, aka Robert Swetz will be in Alaska.
The first three days will be spent fishing in Homer, the next three days will be spent at Lucile Lake in Wasilla, and the balance of the ten days will be spent hiking around Hatchers Pass around Wasilla and Anchorage.

As a hardcore traveler of over 40 years, Robert "Vegas Bob" Swetz becomes bored very easily traveling to certain states and places.
Minnesota, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, Wisconsin, North & South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington State, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, just to name a few are states that Vegas Bob has traveled through "Day in and Day Out"
Robert Swetz has a loving wife and other family members in Alaska now.

Vegas Bob is really getting excited about spending the first part of July in Alaska
Here is a post I wrote about my halibut fishing trip in Homer Alaska.

Vegas Bob will be fishing Halibut in Homer and spending 3 days and nights by the ocean.
Then Vegas Bob will be headed to Wasilla and spending 3 days ght in a motel on Lucile Lake with his wife and boys.
While staying in Wasilla, VB and family will be hiking up at "Hatchers Pass" and hiking by the rivers and lakes around Wasilla Alaska.
