One Day Left Before Vegas Bob is in ALASKA ;o)
Well time seems to be flying by fast because later tomorrow, Wednesday 8/24/2016 Robert Vegas Bob Swetz will be in Alaska.
It has been raining 95% of the time for around 3 weeks up around Anchorage, Homer & Seward Alaska so Vegas Bob is going to bring some California sunshine up to Alaska with his.
And California has fires burning up thousands of acres from NorCal to SoCal so Vegas Bob would like to bring of of that moisture and water down to California from Alaska.

2 Days and Counting before Vegas Bob arrives in Alaska
Robert Vegas Bob Swetz continues to get excited as he counts the days before his next journey to the Last Frontier ... ALASKA
It's going to be wonderful to hug my wife and two boys after being gone since late May of 2016 ;o)
We will be hiking the trails along the lakes, rivers, mountain and fishing in Homer Alaska the following Sunday for halibut.
And with (new camera) in hands Vegas Bob is going to capture the moment of his latest trip to Alaska ... So Stay Tuned!

Well the days are going fast before Vegas Bob jumps on a Jet and flies to the Last Frontier, and he is getting excited.
Vegas Bob will be carrying very little luggage because he has a closet full of clothes at his place in Anchorage.
And Vegas Bob will need to bring some fresh halibut back to the lower 48 for his friend he promised last year and never came through.

Did Robert Swetz capture UFO in a Cloud?
Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob has been taking photographs for over 35 years and when he comes across a strange object in the sky, he begins to wonder.
I begin to wonder what that green ball is in the cloud? Could it be a UFO? Maybe some aircraft from another country? A drone?
I have spent many late nights into early hours around AREA 51, parts of New Mexico and other states across the US looking into the sky. Looking at satellites, shooting stars and other moving objects.

Robert 'Vegas Bob' Swetz once again is studying and has his nose in the book of the Alaska State Law portion for real estate. Robert was studying in spring of 2016 but was side tracked and unsure if he wanted to get licensed in another state to sell real estate.

Beautiful Log Home in Sterling Alaska by Robert Swetz
On my drive back to Anchorage from Homer Alaska Monday afternoon I came across this breath-taking log home in Sterling AK.
I have viewed hundreds of log homes through out my life and this one located in Serling Alaska only 10 - 15 miles north of Soldotna has to be one of the most impressive. I have seen bigger log homes but not ones that have as much character as this one that has carved Eagle Heads at the corners of the roof.

The temperatures have been heating up in Anchorage, Wasilla, Palmer, Seward, Homer and surrounding areas of Alaska.Temperatures have been reaching around 50-55 degrees and the sun his very hot around the late afternoon hours.
What I like so much about Anchorage and other cities is drive 5-10 miles out of the any cities in Alaska and you are in beautiful natural areas like the ones in these photos.

I have been getting all my ducks in a row as I prepare to go to Alaska, but with my mind racing last evening it was very difficult to sleep ;o(
I am overwhelmed with thoughts of cold, snow, etc and it frightens me.
I was born in the Midwest where temperatures are very similar to Anchorage and Homer, give or take a few degrees.
I love the spring, summer, fall months but I am getting cold feet when it comes to spending time in The Last Frontier during the winter.

The Aurora Borealis (Northern Light) in the state of Alaska are by far some of the best to view, video and photograph.
Here are just a couple of photos of just how beautiful the Northern Lights are in Alaska.
And viewing the lights in person is so much more breath-taking than any photograph or video.

Robert Swetz will be going on a long journey, a long journey into a far distant land of ice, snow, grizzly bears, moose, wolf, mountain goats, halibut, king salmon, his family and a new place he calls home.

Robert Alaska Bob Swetz will be spending the Christmas Holidays in Homer Alaska.Alaska Bob is very excited about getting back to his family in Anchorage Alaska even if the temperatures are cold.
Alaska Bob will be driving down to Homer from Anchorage the day after he arrives, and spending 3-4 days in Homer the Halibut Capital of the World.Alaska Bob won't be fishing though until June & July of 2016.

As some people may know the winter months in Alaska can be extremely ... "COLD" ;o/
And Robert Swetz aka Vegas Bob/Alaska Bob is wondering if he is going to be able to handle the cold.
Robert was born and raised in the Midwest where temperatures have reached 20 below zero, and plenty of snow.
Anchorage, Homer and Seward are areas close to the ocean so winter temps are some what mild.
But Fairbanks and other areas around Alaska can reach temps of 40 below zero ;o(

Alaska Bob will be spending Christmas with his new family up in Anchorage.
AB will also be spending the cold winter days of January & possibly February.
Because I will be spending time during the winter months, I thought I would share some photos that I took around the mountains back in November of 2014.
