norcal: Poor Air in California Creates 4 non-working days for Vegas Bob

I have been working on a construction project for the last 4 months in downtown Oakland California.
Ever since the fires started in Northern California last week the construction project has been shut down 4 different days now because of poor air quality. Rain was suppose to come today Friday 11-16-2018 but has now been pushed to next Wednesday.
It has been mentioned on most news channels, etc that Northern California has some of the worst air quality world wide of of today 11-16-2018.

NorCal finally gets Rain and it's about time 10/16/2016
Finally after rain predictions by the news and weather forecaster's for 2 weeks now it finally started raining Saturday afternoon October 15th.
Many parts of California have been long overdue for rain and thank God it finally started.
It looks like it will rain most of Sunday and Monday of next week, wonderful for the Californians and Vegas Bob ;o)

Alaska Bob is very happy to say that his last day working construction in San Jose California will be November 25th ...
AB/VB had set a previous date in December, but has recently changed it!
Vegas Bob is looking forward to getting back to Las Vegas, sleep in his own bed after staying in Morgan Hill NorCal since January 2015.
Vegas Bob is going to hook up with his brother and family, take some CE classes for RE, study for his Alaska state test for RE, update his passport and take care of some business transactions.

La Selva Beach is by far one of Robert Vegas Bob Swetz's favorite beaches in Santa Cruz.
Santa Cruz, Capitola and Rio del Mar are very nice beaches, but La Selva is much more laid back with very few people ;o)

It's been a long week for Vegas Bob and I am very excited that it' Friday ...
Even though Vegas Bob has to work tomorrow he is very excited because the week is coming to a close end.
After work Saturday VB will be taking it easy around the Pacific Coast in NorCal.
Here is a photo VB took last year while visiting the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, and take a look at the thickness of the cable used to construct and hold up the bridge.

Every time VB hikes in the Redwood Trees in Orick and the Avenue of the Giants, VB drives to Ferndale. Ferndale California dates back to the mid 1800's with some very old history. As soon as the rain stops in Northern California I will be spending around one week walking within the "Avenue of Giants".
These GIANT Redwoods that Vegas Bob will be walking around are located in Orick, Eureka and other areas in NorCal. There are many people that have seen the Redwoods in NorCal, but these are the ones around SF and The Bay Area.

If you have ever been to Northern California, you may have driven down highway 101 & Hwy 1 which winds down the Pacific Coast.
Well along that stretch of California in Humboldt County is an area that is called "The Avenue of the Giants". The giants in this area are the California Redwoods and they are HUGE ...
I have been hiking along the trails that run through the Redwoods in California for around 35 years now. I first started hiking the Redwoods when I was a teenager and continue to visit my "Giant" friends every year.

" One of the most beautiful coastlines in the world " California, (BIG SUR). California to me has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth, next to Alaska and Oregon.
I have traveled to California ever since 1974. I moved to Portland Oregon when I was 16 years old with one of my best friends. I worked 6 months out of the year and traveled 6 months out of the year. And where do you think I traveled to? (California) of course!
