Robert Legend DAVID BOWIE aka David Robert Jones Dies at age 69 from cancer by Robert Swetz A very sad day in Rock history when I first viewed Sunday evening on FaceBook and other networks that the Rock Legend David Bowie has passed away from fighting cancer ;o( Robert Vegas Bob Swetz grew up with Rock Legends like David Bowie, Beatles, Rolling Stones, T-Rex (Marc Bolan), Led Zeppelin, Etc. You will never guess where "Vegas Bob" is headed in the next several hours?
VB was rolling through his groups at ActiveRain and featuring his favorite posts. Low and behold, VB came across this great post of a FREE musical event posted by Michelle on the Santa Cruz Boardwalk.
VB has been staying in Morgan Hill for the last several months which is only approx 30 miles from Santa Cruz.
So that being said, VB will be at the Eddie Money concert tonight followed by the up and coming FREE concert events over the weekends in Santa Cruz ;o)

Vegas Bob really likes this video but only wishes the ladies had used microphones with (NO) cords, battery operated ;o) And after you view the video you will also agree ... and I think Bon Jovi would be proud of this young lady. This post is directed to the group DAVID BOWIE & other Rock Stars because I have been waiting to get material for the group.
I picked up around one hundred of my picture sleeve 45 covers from 30 years of collecting. Around 20 of these picture sleeve covers are of David Bowie.
Below I have 4 different covers and these cover are very rare, they only make so many and they quit making them 30 years ago. 3 of them in the photos below were imported from Japan.

What will the future look like for Robert Swetz at Active Rain?
This is a very good question and I have been thinking about quite often.
I have been with Active Rain since Feb-April of 2008 and did not even know what a blog was until I joined. All of this blog stuff was new and it was very difficult in the beginning, but I managed to get through it in the long run.
