southeast asia group: "Ouch" - 07/15/09 01:15 PM

                                                                                    "Ouch"
If you look above the word "Ouch" you can see another mans arm with needles poked threw his skin and little heads on top.
This photograph was taken in Singapore (South East Asia) May 2008 and it was a Chinese New Year celebration. It was very interesting with fire crackers/ fire works and strange men dancing around with costumes and steel poking threw their skin.
When you looked at the mens faces up close it looked like they were in some kind of trance.

southeast asia group: Ever wonder where some Buddha Statues come from? - 04/01/09 04:24 PM
Ever wonder where some Buddha Statues come from?
Before I traveled to South East Asia I always wondered where I could purchase Buddha Statues. I have a huge collection of them from different parts of the world, from Jade to Marble. When I first started collecting them it was very difficult to find places that sold them. Over the years Buddha Statues have become more popular for collecting, etc.
On my second visit to Myanmar (Burma) I saw many, many Buddha Statues in the temples, etc. But it wasn't until we traveled to Mandalay that I discovered you could purchase very small statues … (4 comments)

southeast asia group: Women hand sewing beautiful Burmese rugs in Burma - 03/27/09 04:38 PM

I captured these women hand sewing these rugs for a wall decoration or throwing over your bed. As you can see they are all hand done and very beautiful when there finished. The women were very excited when we came by with my camera and were a little shy at first, but got over it real quick.
This photograph was taken in Mandalay Myanmar (Burma) and the rugs sell for about $30.00 American dollars.
Can anyone tell me who this Happy character is at the end of the table? I don't really think she's part of the group!
 Here is a … (7 comments)

southeast asia group: We really do live in such a (small world)! - 03/23/09 05:26 AM
We really do live in such a (small world)!
I will be meeting with some famous well to do Buddhist Monks for lunch today in China Town - Las Vegas. My wife is with them right now and she mentioned some things about me, and they want to meet me.
This may be a chance for me to travel, photograph and be with children. There is a huge monastery in Burma where this monk teaches over 8 different languages, he may want me to teach English to the children.
Now I have always hated English in school and always wondered why … (18 comments)

Searching for a change or feeling a little bored?
There are many people that go through these feelings of boredom and frustration. It might be where you live, it might your job, it might be whom your with in a relationship. It could be many things that may be helping you to feel this way.
It could be within yourself and in order to fix the feelings of boredom you must work from the inside out.
I have always been a person that keeps moving, I believe a rolling stone gathers no moss. For months now I have wondered why I … (8 comments)
