The Sales and Marketing Council of the St. Tammany / Washington Parishes Home Builders Association will be holding its first ever national designation course on March 25th. The course entitled "Effective Marketing on a Shoestring Budget" is an eight hour course. The course hours count toward several national designations including the Certified New Home Marketing Professional (CMP). Builders licensed in the state of Louisiana can also use these hours toward their state required continuing education. Today marks the start of the 28th annual St. Tammany Parade of Homes. The 2006 parade was cancelled due to Huricane Katrina so this will be the first parade in two years. This year however promises to be a great parade with forty one homes from all over the parish including Abita Springs, Covington, Madisonville, Mandeville, and Slidell. The parade is the first three weekends in May and the houses will be open from noon to 6pm each Saturday and Sunday.
