The great thing about the internet is that potential clients can find you via your web site. The bad thing is that often the only contact information that you are left with is an email address, which is not always even valid or complete. When you answer an email you really never get a good feel for the exchange that you have had with this person. We always feel more confident that a potential client is more serious when they include a phone number for follow up. In the market that we are in it is hard to keep up with the mortgage people moving in and out of the business. We had one closing where the person that our client started out with was gone before the inspections were done. The replacement came to closing just to show his face and left the room several times just to take phone calls. We feel that this reflects poorly on us when one of the companies that we suggest a person to contact performs in this way.
