Registration for Summer Safety Camp in Independence, LA begins now. Independence's Summer Safety and Crime Prevention Overnight Camping Retreat takes place from 6pm on May 14 to noon the following day and is absolutely free to all kids ages 5-13. Sponsored by the Independence Summer Recreation Program and Martin Chapel AME Church, the safety camp is designed to help kids learn more about crime prevention and safety tips. The overnight safety camp will be held at the Independence Recreational Complex in Independence, Louisiana.
