Al Roker and NBC's Today Show hit Bozeman, Montana, giving $1,230,000 to a local charity on the morning of the longest day of the year, June 22, 2010. At 4:45am Roker showed up at Bozeman's Eagle Mount, a local organization providing quality therapeutic recreational opportunities for people with disabilities or cancer.
Donations included nine acres of land adjacent to Eagle Mount's present location, a 15-passenger van, a quarter horse from Tom Brokaw, sports equipment, four solar panels, a truckload of ranch supplies from Murdoch's, and other gifts.

Bridger Raptor Festival 2010 Bozeman, Montana's Bridger Raptor Festival happens every year. Bridger's Raptor Festival is dedicated to counting the largest extant Golden Eagle migration in the United States.
The birder's event happens at Bozeman's Bridger Bowl ki area in the Bridger Range of the Gallatin National Forest. Bozeman has a new mayor, Kaaren Jacobson, sworn in on January 7, 2008. In an effort to pay for Bozeman's growth, she stated her desire is to increase road impact fees, which is contrary to a recent vote by the former city commission to reduce impact fees to 65 percent of the full rate, which is $9,172.
More than 100 people packed the Gallatin County Courthouse not only to listen to her state of Bozeman address but to also watch the swearting in of the 2008 city commission.
