Big Sky Resort - First Tracks Program 2009 - 2010 Commencing the winter of 2009-2010, Big Sky Resort in Big Sky, Montana, will be instituting  guided, 8:00 a.m. tram rides, allowing up to five skiers or snow boarders one hour of skiing/riding on Lone Peak an hour before the public hits the slopes.
Called Big Sky Resort's "First Tracks Program," the arrangement allows two people for a price of $500, with up to three more at $35/person, for a total of five, to ski with a Big Sky Resort guide from 8:00 am - 9:00 am before the lifts open to the public.

Our son is progressing fast, skiing the Magic Carpet Hill as well as skiing Blue slopes and Green slopes between his papa's legs.
No fun here...























The Montana snow was excellent, the Montana sun couldn't have been brighter, the big Montana sky clearer...the camaraderie better.

Both Credit Suisse and CrossHarbor Capital with financial help offered by some Club members, are battling for control of Edra Blixseth's bankrupt Big Sky, Montana Yellowstone Mountain Club: Credit Suisse, failing in its attempt to setup a seven-figure loan plan, argues that because it's owed over $300M by the Club it should maintain control and is trying to block a financing deal from Boston-based CrossHarbor Capital, which has offered $20 million to maintain the club through the winter skiing and snowboarding season.

Tim Blixseth, founder of the 14,300 acre private ski and golf, tightly-gated community, the Yellowstone Club, (which is being sold) has sold the private 160-acre, skiable chunk of land on the Club's property, nixing his plan to build the "Pinnacle," the world's most expensive home, at 53,000 square feet and priced at $155 million. 
The Pinnacle's plans, to be designed by Locati Architects, included a private ski lift to take skiers from inside the house to the top of the private, 2,200 skiable acre, 2,700 vertical feet, private ski area, boasting 400 inches of average annual snowfall and topping out at 9,860 feet.
