The 13,400 acre, private golf and ski enclave, Yellowstone Club (YC) sale to CrossHarbor Capital is finalized at a price of $115 million, according to Yellowstone Mountain Club's CB Richard Ellis. The Big Sky, Montana bankruptcy sale was finalized August 5, 2009, ending a long battle for control between Sam Byrne and Edra Blixseth. yellowstone: Yellowstone National Park Receives American Recovery & Reinvestment Act Money

On April 23, 2009, United States Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, announced that Yellowstone National Park, in both the states of Wyoming and Montana, will receive $14,735,000 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The largest of the Yellowstone projects is construction of a new, $9,000,000 wastewater treatment plant near Madison Junction's small log cabin museum and visitor center. The Montana side of Yellowstone National Park will also get $1,650,000 to construct a micro-hydroelectric facility at Mammoth Hot Springs, which should eliminate close to 700 tons of greenhouse gas and save Yellowstone Park around $80,000/year in electric bills.
