Bozeman Real Estate Prices, Values, Statistics 2008 Through 2009 Includes Southwest Montana Real Estate Market - Gallatin County Montana Real Estate Volume Earlier this year, Housing Predictor (a housing forecasting website) had ranked the 25 top US cities for home value appreciation in 2009. The Housing Predictor Montana Rankings had five Montana cities in the top 25 and two within the top 10 (you may recall that in January 2009, Billings ranked 3rd and Bozeman ranked 9th, placing both cities in the top 10 for appreciation in 2009: excellent rankings for any state).

National Geographic Adventure Magazine ...says the Montana mountain town Bozeman is a best city in the US for the adventurer to start a family: National Geographic rates Bozeman, Montana in the top three of its United States Adventurer Cities.
In the October 2009 National Geographic issue, which came out the week of September 13, 2009, the magazine mentions Bozeman's biking and hiking trail system; its proximity to Bridger Bowl and Big Sky snowboard and ski resorts; the Bridger, Gallatin, Beartooth, and Madison Ranges; and Yellowstone Park, the 2.2-million-acre National Park Ulysses S. Grant created in 1872.

The 13,400 acre, private golf and ski enclave, Yellowstone Club (YC) sale to CrossHarbor Capital is finalized at a price of $115 million, according to Yellowstone Mountain Club's CB Richard Ellis. The Big Sky, Montana bankruptcy sale was finalized August 5, 2009, ending a long battle for control between Sam Byrne and Edra Blixseth. yellowstone: Yellowstone National Park Receives American Recovery & Reinvestment Act Money

On April 23, 2009, United States Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, announced that Yellowstone National Park, in both the states of Wyoming and Montana, will receive $14,735,000 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The largest of the Yellowstone projects is construction of a new, $9,000,000 wastewater treatment plant near Madison Junction's small log cabin museum and visitor center.
The Montana side of Yellowstone National Park will also get $1,650,000 to construct a micro-hydroelectric facility at Mammoth Hot Springs, which should eliminate close to 700 tons of greenhouse gas and save Yellowstone Park around $80,000/year in electric bills.

Two financial entities are battling for control of Big Sky, Montana's Yellowstone Club, which boasts memberships by some of the world's wealthiest... Both Credit Suisse and CrossHarbor Capital with financial help offered by some Club members, are battling for control of Edra Blixseth's bankrupt Big Sky, Montana Yellowstone Mountain Club: Credit Suisse, failing in its attempt to setup a seven-figure loan plan, argues that because it's owed over $300M by the Club it should maintain control and is trying to block a financing deal from Boston-based CrossHarbor Capital, which has offered $20 million to maintain the club through the winter skiing and snowboarding season.
