clarksville tn real estate: Foreclosed Properties being lost in the shuffle - 09/22/09 01:05 PM
Are Foreclosed Properties being lost in the shuffle?  It appears to be happening here in the Clarksville TN Foreclosure Market so I have a strong feeling that it is happening elsewhere around the country.

I reported a while back about a lovely foreclosed property in Clarksville TN that our clients had made an offer on and received a 'verbal' acceptance from Freddie Mac only to have the offer rejected two days later.  The Freddie Mac Sales Manager emailed and said that the property was being sold back to the primary lender because the lender could not afford to take a … (4 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: Wishing you a great Labor Day - 09/06/09 11:45 AM
Greetings everyone,

Labor Day is tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with my family and letting my gas grill do some labor for a change!  So here's a heartfelt Labor Day greeting from my family to yours!
Have you ever wondered how we came to celebrate a holiday with the odd name of Labor Day?  Someone always asks, "Why is it called Labor Day when nobody labors on that day?"
While there is some disagreement regarding the original founder of Labor Day, we know that the first Labor Day parade was held by the Central Labor Union, … (3 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: The President's Address to our Children - 09/05/09 01:06 AM
Many of you have probably heard the hoopla and fan-fare surrounding the President's Address to our Children which is set to happen at 1100 CST this coming Tuesday.  I like many other parents have mixed feelings about this unusual (but not unprecedented) broadcast.
As not to attempt to place a political spin on this particular post, the following is an excerpt of the President's intended message:  "During this special address, the president will speak directly to the nation's children and youth about persisting and succeeding in school. The president will challenge students to work hard, set educational goals, and take responsibility for … (15 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: Veterans vs Civilians - 09/03/09 02:41 PM
"The trouble with the Vietnam War it killed so many that survived"That's all I have to say about that."(Forrest Gump) When a Veteran leaves the 'job' and retires to a better life, many are jealous, some are pleased, and others, who may have already retired, wonder if he knows what he is leaving behind, because we already know.
1. We know, for example, that after a lifetime of camaraderie that few experience, it will remain as a longing for those past times.
2. We know in the Military life there is a fellowship which lasts long after the uniforms are hung … (6 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: Wordless Wednesday - Bluebirds in Tennessee - 09/01/09 02:17 PM
I must admit this is dated picture but one of my favorite shots.  I love the birds here on our 5 acre haven.  The blue birds nest in the various houses we have put up for them.  When mowing, we always have one perched, waiting to swoop down for a meal.  The pond streams offer them a great source of water.

clarksville tn real estate: Real Estate is more than just a paycheck and more than just a business transaction - 08/31/09 03:03 PM

You know, for me, Real Estate is more than just a paycheck and more than just a business transaction.  Pam and I take our duties as Realtors very serious as real lives are affected either positively or negatively dependent on the service and advice that we provide our clients.  That is a HUGE responsibility and one that should be taken seriously by all in the Real Estate Profession whether you are a Realtor, Home Inspector, Mortgage Broker and even the Insurance Agent.
When you are speaking about a residential real estate, you are speaking of the largest financial transaction that most American … (3 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: Speechless Sunday - Peeaboo I SEE YOU! - 08/30/09 02:38 PM
Pam and I have been working a bit out in the yard the past couple weekends.  This year alot has not been a groomed as we like to keep it.  It was certainly a pleasure for us both to be able to enjoy our yard.  I was thinking about getting into the lily pond and doing some maintenance till I saw Jake....

Now I generally don't mind snakes as long as I know two things:  (1) What type critter it is  (2) WHERE IT IS.  I got one of the two.  I am thinking Jake is a Eastern Brown Water … (0 comments)

It is so great to be able to take care of our clients and our friends.  It warms my heart to know that they realize the care that Pam and I take in ensuring their needs are met.  Thank you David and Christina for the kind words.  We sincerely appreciate your business!
We are so thankful that Pam and Tim Cash were our realtors.  They successfully sold our house in a difficult market.  They worked tirelessly to market our house.  We had to move out of state while the house was for sale, and we left its care in their very capable … (1 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: Has anyone heard of the Fair Tax Plan? - 09/21/08 08:35 AM
The FairTax Plan is a nonpartisan proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll taxes with a progressive tax on consumption (national sales tax). It includes a cash "prebate" that ensures no American pays federal taxes for essential goods & services up to the poverty level.1-Every American can keep their entire paycheck2-All federal income taxes- would be abolished3-IRS and 16th amendment- would be abolished4-Completely untaxes low-income families.5-Untaxes tuition.6-Existing and future savings and investments are all tax free as is the return on that savings.7-Positive impact on retirees.8-No federal taxes or compliance costs hidden in consumer prices.9-Raises the same amount of revenue … (6 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: Snake in the grass - 09/21/08 02:06 AM
Well, not in the grass - but trying to work on catchy titles!  Let me know if it caught your attention.  As many who have visited our blog know, we have many who call our property home here in Clarksville Tennessee.  From Rabbits, Squirrels, various varieties of birds, Turkey and Deer.  We also have quite a few of these guys.  The biggest in the rear of the yard and makes it's home in around our middle pond.  Have not got a picture of that one, but he is HUGE - around 4 foot.
My philosophy with this particular snake is to … (3 comments)

clarksville tn real estate: Why did the Turkey cross the Road? - 09/21/08 01:23 AM

Look at the family that were crossing the road as Pam turned on our street coming home. She had to wait as they crossed from one side to the other in a straight line. It was not long ago we watched as the chicks as little fuff balls. They were quite a site. Pam always has a little Cyber-shot camera for times just like this.
Even though we live in close to downtown Clarksville, we enjoy a myriad of wildlife.  Clarksville in general has been very good at ensuring that natural areas are maintained throughout the city for our 'nieghbors'.
Another reason we simply love … (5 comments)
