clarksville: A form of praise perhaps? - 08/10/08 10:58 AM
Yesterday we came to terms on two investment properties that I had been working on for a couple of months with one of our clients.  As my dear wife Pamela Ann will attest to, I am rather aggressive when it comes to taking care of a client or pursuing a lead.  Sometimes I believe I am too aggressive.
As we were signing the last of the paperwork on the contract and walking through the two properties my client turned to his daughter and said "I have finally found someone who works as hard as I do".  At that his daughter looked … (1 comments)

clarksville: Clarksville Dance Force - Dance Camp - 08/09/08 02:53 PM

Last week Ashley attended dance camp at one of Clarksville's Dance Studios - Clarksville Dance Force. They seemed to have a great time and Ashley has really come along way it seems. They did a bit of everything and even a little theatre. Guess dancers need that.  At the end they put on a bunch of mini dances for us. They had been divided in groups and had to make up their own choreography. Can I tell you I think in that department they all have a ways to go. Glad they do not do that all the time! The … (0 comments)

clarksville: I love this town... - 08/06/08 01:26 PM
It's my kind of place!  Just cruisin round the town square puts a big smile on my face...
Clarskville is one of the best kept secrets in the Southeast.  A wonderful town with a thriving economy and so much to do!  Water skiing, fishing, dancing, theatre, concerts, and even The Titans right down the road!
Toby Keith got it wrong when he sang - instead it should have been I love this bar town!
Just check out the enjoyment of some of our locals!  Don't them kids look like they are having fun.  I tried to join them but I … (6 comments)

clarksville: Have you forgotten - The Run for the Fallen - 08/03/08 01:17 AM
Sometimes I wonder if Americans have forgotten?  When I hear Darryl Worley's song I always wonder.  After 9/11 our country came together like I had never seen before in my lifetime, but it seems that many have moved on and I hope that this is not the case.  I, like many others have lost so very many friends in our Nation's battle again Terrorism - THEY fell to protect us all - to keep those who wish our Nation and Americans harm.
Please take a moment and watch this video:  Have you Forgotten?
Yesterday a little known run was held here … (2 comments)

clarksville: Big Oil rakes in big bucks - At who's expense? - 08/01/08 12:21 AM
I guess it would be a good time to hold stock in the oil industry right?
When will we realize that the ‘oil crisis' in not a crisis,  but rather a scheme by the oil companies and lobbiest.  How many ‘RECORD PROFIT' quarters must  Americans endure before something is done?  Or is it simply the ‘American Way'?
I have been screaming foul for over a year now - when the public first cried back three years ago, I was driving a diesel pickup - why you might ask?  Because diesel COSTS LESS TO PRODUCE and therefore was cheaper at the pump.  … (3 comments)

clarksville: The Clarksville Market is Booming! - 07/31/08 01:05 PM
Either that or folks are seeing my pretty face on the internet alot lately!  (Okay, maybe - just possibly it is Pamela Ann's face..)  Nonetheless the market is certainly popping in the past week for us.  We have always kept an upbeat attitude during a period of slower than usual activity and ALWAYS kept our clients informed.  In the past week we have been covered up (not a bad thing) with showings of our client's listings (A GOOD THING) and leads contacting us wanting information.  Since we both love dealing with people and showing homes - we are having a grand time … (4 comments)

clarksville: Clarksville's Sister Cities in the spotlight - 07/29/08 12:40 PM
For those that are relocating to the Clarksville and Fort Campbell Area area, we have much to offer not only in our great city but in cities that are in driving distance. Anyone who says that there in nothing to do is simply not looking very hard.

Our daughter enjoys Girl Scouts, dance and other activities.  Because of this we have opportunities to travel to cities that are not to far from Clarksville for many fun and learning activities.  One of our sister cities is Huntsville Alabama.  Huntsville is a mere 2.5 hours from Clarksville.  It is an easy drive.  In Huntsville … (4 comments)

clarksville: Clarksville and Montgomery County Parents can check their children's work online - 07/25/08 01:29 AM
Another reason I love the great city of Clarksville.  Anyone who states that public schools are not challenging our students, or are not engaged should look at the Clarksville and Montgomery County Tennessee School system as an example of how it should be ran.

I would put our schools up against any district - as a parent I believe that much in this system!  Here is yet another example why - "PowerSchool provides grade data for all students"  Yet another opportunity for Clarksville and Montgomery County Parents to get INVOLVED with their child's education.

Our daughter goes to middle … (3 comments)

clarksville: The Gratitude Campaign - a gesture of thanks for service to our Nation. - 07/24/08 10:51 AM
I received this from a good friend of mine today who is serving abroad and felt obliged to share with you.  I can understand the inability of some to find the words to say thank you to our young men and women in uniform - believe me - it is tough for the Soldier to find words some times.  Please share this with your friends and family and remember our Soldiers in harms way!

Recently, Scott Truitt from Seattle created a gesture which could be used as a massive movement to get the word out to thank our service members.

clarksville: Lost a Listing today - 07/22/08 11:07 AM

"The Comparitable Market Analysis shows what?"  Said the prospective clients during our listing interview a week back.  We had prepared a thorough CMA and also provided statistics on
- active similiar homes in the area
- price per square foot (high/average/low)
- days on market (same as above)
- those pending and the same stats
"That can't be right - we have put all this work into the home recently and 2 years ago it appraised for X!"
Well, while the Clarksville Real Estate Market has not seen a decrease in price due to inflated valuation, we have seen a steady state … (6 comments)

clarksville: Sweet Summertime - A belated birthday party - 07/20/08 02:41 AM
Our Daughter's birthdate falls in the middle of winter, but due to her Dance schedule this year we were unable to throw her a birthday party.  She did not raise a fuss like many kids her age would have and Pam and I promised to make it up to her in the summer.
We put a little thought into what to do for her party and decided to get one of those inflatable water slides that we had seen elsewhere.  Parents, let me tell you that is the best money I have ever spent.  Not only did all the kids have … (7 comments)

clarksville: This is my town! - 07/20/08 01:33 AM
I gotta admit that Clarksville Tennesse is a great town to live in. Our daughter Ashley has so far been to Photography Camp offered by the schools for free. What a great opportunity and experience that was.

We keep involved at the YMCA where she enjoys interacting with many other children, swimming and has been to their awesome camps. The Parks and Recrecreation Department of Clarksville work hard to have plenty of activities for our young children. No parent can say they can not find something to entertain their kids and activities to help teach in Clarksville Tennessee - … (6 comments)
