fort campbell relocation: Something about that old house - 05/11/17 04:02 AM
Something about that old house
Are you in an older home? Are you about to buy, but not even thinking about an older home? Over the next few weeks I hope to write about some of my thoughts about the good and not so good things on buying old verses buying new. Many families are out house hunting for that perfect home. I've met many home buyers trying to decide between old and new. I have lived in a new house, a five year old house, and a house built in the mid 60's-- our final and forever home. All houses have their good points and their bad points but it really depends … (1 comments)

fort campbell relocation: Keep calm and keep the house clean! - 05/04/17 03:59 AM

Taking care of your home and making sure it is clean and appealing means you are more likely to get closer to asking price or full price. You are competing with other homes and just being clean and well kept might put your home at #1 and SOLD!   We have been using the same house washer for years 'Clarksville Pressure Wash.' They also do patios and driveways. So go ahead, get that house washed-- make it sparkle and shine! Whether you are listing or just maintaining your home.    Make your heart happy. Show that you take care of … (2 comments)

fort campbell relocation: The Earth Laughs In Flowers - 04/30/17 07:42 AM
Today might be overcast and rainy, but that is the best time to be outside weeding. Tim and I take the rainy breaks to look out and feel pleased that after near nineteen years we have worked tirelessly in the yard, making it our very own vacation spot. And we’re still making progress every year. Some ideas we try work out and others fail. When it comes to your hopes of having that perfect flower garden or the best lawn, you can have never stop dreaming. Part of the fun is change. I have enjoyed some fabulous seasons where my gardens … (2 comments)

fort campbell relocation: Landscaping and utilities - 11/03/13 06:28 AM
A valuable lesson in landscaping and utilities was learned today.  And might I add a costly one at that!
While Clarksville and Montgomery County offer sewer in most areas, Pam and I have always had a septic system and thankfully never had any significant issues with them.  Well, that changed today - but it was a decision from approximately ten years ago that caused the issue we face today.

Anyone who has had a septic knows what a "backup" is.  Sometimes these can cause significant damage, but generally speaking they happen at the lowest point in the system - for … (2 comments)

Speechless Sundays - The Grass is Always Greener
or is it?

I guess it depends on what side of the fence (or window) you are on!  Curious whether Gabby (on the inside) is taunting Bubba (outdoors) or whether it is the other way around!  Our cats certainly add to our daily entertainment.

fort campbell relocation: Real Estate is more than just a paycheck - 08/22/12 09:56 AM

You know, for me, Real Estate is more than just a paycheck and more than just a business transaction. Pam and I take our duties as Realtors very serious as real lives are affected either positively or negatively dependent on the service and advice that we provide our clients. That is a HUGE responsibility and one that should be taken seriously by all in the Real Estate Profession whether you are a Realtor, Home Inspector, Mortgage Broker and even the Insurance Agent.

When you are speaking about a residential real estate, you are speaking of the largest financial transaction … (3 comments)

fort campbell relocation: The Letter - 03/29/09 11:35 AM

Before I begin, I wanted to find the actual post where someone on Active Rain suggested having your client write a personal letter to accompany an offer.  While at face value this may sound odd (I thought it did) I stored this in my limited hard drive (man's brain) for just the right situation in which to try this as in my mind this would only be used in the right situation.
Well, the right situation presented itself last Friday.  Pam and I have been working with a Military couple transferring from another installation to Fort Campbell.  We have scoured … (4 comments)

Yesteday, while on Floor Duty at the Sango Crye-Leike office, I received a call from a young Soldier who had just arrived to Fort Campbell.  He was needing assistance to get his household goods (HHG) delivered.  He had found an apartment, but could did not know where to go or who to call in order to get his Family's HHGs delivered.  That said, I thought I would post some information for the Soldiers and their Families who are coming in.
