edmond oklahoma living: Do you remember using bag phones to call in the Oklahoma City area? - 03/26/13 01:40 AM
Times have really changed in the real estate world here in the Edmond, Piedmont and NW Oklahoma City areas.
Ten to fifteen years ago, there were barely any online multiple listing services. Listings were published on huge bulky books. Buyers HAD to contact agents to get lists of home listings or search the print ads.
Websites were cumbersome and unattended. A blog? Facebook? Mark Zuckerberg was in Jr. High just starting to write software. Twitter? Who knew 140 characters could have such an impact?
Smart phones? Mobile phones were bag phones you had in your car – and … (0 comments)

edmond oklahoma living: Be on the watch for Chimney fires! - 12/26/12 03:25 AM
Boy, we were lucky, weren’t we? The horrible weather the forecasters thought we were going to get, went further south. Yesterday was a perfect day to light a fire in the fireplace to add to the Holiday spirits and coziness. Unfortunately, the Oklahoma City fire department was called out for a chimney fire. This started me thinking because as warm and friendly a fire in the fireplace is, it is also very dangerous if precautions aren’t taken before you light that fire.
What is a chimney fire and what causes it?
A chimney fire is caused by a built up of … (0 comments)
