As the senior member of our team, I've weathered all the cycles during my real estate career. I opened my office (Winhold Realty) when the interest rate was over 18%. I was confident in the belief that if we got our feet wet and established our presence, we would be well known and respected in our local market, which is and was Metuchen, NJ. Thankfully, the interest rate a year or 2 later started going down and when it hit 10%, buyers thought it was a gift from above.
