Listing agents have an ethical and legal responsibility to the homeowners they represent. 
So when we were out showing homes to our buyers yesterday, it's the agent that we blame for what was left on the floor of the house.

There were at least a dozen dead birds lying around the inside of the home - in various stages of decay. There must have been a window open and somehow these poor things got in but couldn't figure out how to get out and died on the floor.
