easter: Happy Quarant-Easter!

Our children are grown, living in their own apartments about a half hour from us. I miss them so much. All the time. But especially now, in quarantine, when all I get is phone calls and the occassional Zoom. No hugs, as they are both in essential occupations. Today we packed Easter baskets and Easter dinner and delivered them. Texting "We're here," to each child as we pulled up, grinning and waving as we handed off Tupperwares of pork and roasted potatoes and carrots and chocolate chip cookies (a rare treat in times of flour and butter and egg shortage), not to mention … (9 comments)

Fanwood will hold their Annual Easter Egg Hunt this morning at 11:00 am at Forest Road Park. All children 10 and under are invited to meet the Easter Bunny and hunt for over a thousand eggs filled with goodies around the partk. Bring your own bunny drawing or decorated egg to enter the contests!

My grandmother was my hero. In this picture taken with her sometime in the early 1970s, I'm the girl on the left with my 2 sisters. One of the reasons my grandmother was my hero was her incredible passion for food, and she was the first person to teach me the joys of baking. Here is her award winning recipe for Easter Babka. Here are some Easter Egg Hunts especially for Union County kids this weekend: Summit PAL is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt with the Easter Bunny on April 7th at 10 AM at the Family Aquatic Center at 100 Ashwood Avenue. This event is open to all Summit residents. Cranford Chamber of Commerce hosts breakfast with the Easter Bunny at the Garlic Rose, 28 North Avenue, on April 7th at 9AM. Get ready for some Spring Time Fun in Union County! The Easter Bunny will be around this weekend for the first Easter Egg hunts of the year. New Providence Lions Club will hold its Easter Egg Hunt at Oakwood Park Easter on Saturday, March 31st, at 9:30 am with the Easter Bunny arriving at 9:15 am.
