Dear Pat,
The easiest way of finding out what your home is worth, is to contact your REALTOR and ask for a Comparative Market Analyis (CMA).  Many agents, including Team Zuhl, will not charge ANY fee to do a Market Analysis.   An appraiser will charge a fee, usually several hundred dollars, but in many cases the appraiser will provide a more accurate number.

Inventory in Clark has begun to shrink, down to 71 homes currently offered for sale - compare that to the 85 home offered for sale in September. The last time the inventory was so low was in January of 2013.  There were 15 homes sold in Clark in October - lower than the year's highest rate of 20 homes sold in August and June, but still 300% higher than the year's lowest rate of 4 homes sold in February.

Garwood is a borough in southern Union County and is home to roughly 7000 residents.  The 400 elementary students in Garwood all attend Lincoln School. Garwood high school students join Clark students at Arthur L. Johnson High School in Clark.
Currently, there are 21 homes on the market in Garwood with one completed sale in September. There were 3 completed sales each month this summer, so things are appearing to slow down. Inventory is up, also, with 21 homes now compared to 18-20 all summer.

In Linden, 211 homes sold in 2012 with sales in August and September representing 22% of the total sales. There is 11 months worth of inventory remaining in Linden which is much higher than most of Union County. At the current rate of sales, it will take nearly a year for the existing listings to sell.
 
House prices in Linden have fluctuated a bit during 2012 and ended 2012 in December 16% lower than in January. In part, this is due to the nearly 37% of active listings in Linden that are short sales with lender approval required.
