Of the 45% of Americans who made resolutions this year, the top New Year’s Resolution was, in 2013, the same as it has been for years – to lose weight, amounting to 37% of all of the resolution makers. My mother is fantastic. She's wise, funny, and fiercely devoted to her family. Every New Years Day, she says the same thing. "Whatever you do on New Year's Day, you do all year. So choose wisely."

Did you know that 45% of people make resolutions but 24% fail every year? Of the people who made resolutions, almost half are about self improvement, i.e. weight loss or education and more than 1/3 are about money.
