nj lockdown: Strange New World

"If my husband and I are quarantined together, it won't be the virus that kills him," I heard someone joke. Wayne and I are huddled together and so far no one has died. Perhaps it's because we work remotely in different rooms of the house. Both of our kids are "essential employees" so they're still working - one is a Newark firefighter (no worry there) and the other provides food safety and security to the schoolchildren of Harlem (traveling on mass transit in the middle of a pandemic, no worry there). And my mother is 84, healthy but vulnerable. Schools are all remote for at (12 comments)
